The Meadows family point to God, our provider, who deserves all the praise and glory for how He has blessed us over the years.
Since 1830, our family has been farming this same corner of southeastern Alabama. Today, Meadows Creek Farm maintains that family tradition by farming land that was owned and operated by all four of our great-grandfathers. While the methods of farming have changed over the past 179 years, the Meadows Creek commitment to integrity, hard-work, and family have not.
Meadows Creek Farm has been in the registered Charolais business since 1983. We started off slowly by selling 4H show steers, and using the proceeds to purchase Charolais cows. Meadows Creek Farm has grown a lot since those humble beginnings, and is pleased to market 100 plus Charolais bulls each year, primarily offered as two year olds in our two annual sales. We haven’t forgotten our roots, though, and have stayed involved in youth shows, enabling eight families to show our crossbred steers and Charolais heifers. Meadows Creek Farm is committed to passing our integrity, hard-work, and family values to the next generation.
Meadows Creek Farm tests out our bull quality by also operating herds of commercial cattle, and using them as the proving ground for the Meadows Creek Farm purebred Charolais herd.
Meadows Creek Farm is located in southeastern Alabama (Houston County), approximately 10 miles from Florida and 5 miles from Georgia. Meadows Creek Farm diversifies by farming peanuts, grain sorghum and small grains along with our purebred and commercial herds.
Psalm 147: 8-11
8 He covers the sky with clouds;
he supplies the earth with rain
and makes grass grow on the hills.
9 He provides food for the cattle
and for the young ravens when they call.
10 His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse,
nor his delight in the legs of a man;
11 the LORD delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.
